Person-Centred Therapy / Counselling in Bath & Online
Supporting you to take care of yourself
Hello & Welcome
It might be the first time that you have asked for help. Perhaps something life-changing has happened, or you are struggling to cope. As a Person-Centred therapist I will sit alongside you, gently holding a safe space where we can explore what’s in the shadows. You are the expert on your own life. Together, we can make sense of it so you can find a way forward.
About Me
I’m a fully qualified person-centred counsellor / therapist working with adults at all stages with many different struggles. I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work according to the BACP’s code of ethics and professional standards, which includes confidentiality, regular supervision (ensuring I am well supported) and further professional development.
I have a background in working closely and collaboratively with people. For over a decade I organised creative projects with charities and arts organisations to help people express themselves and connect with others. I have an MA in Arts & Society from Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and a BA in Culture, Communication & Curation from the University of Arts London. Now, as a counsellor, I bring my experience and enthusiasm for diversity, connection and expression.
Working Together
In our sessions I won’t give advice, but instead meet you where you are right now. Taking time to delve and dwell, we might (re)discover your needs and values, as well as behaviours that no longer help you.
With my compassionate support, working together could help you to become more comfortable in yourself, prioritise your own needs and improve your relationships. Coping with life’s challenges can become easier once you work over the the ground that you stand on. Your challenges may include:
bereavement & loss
fear & anxiety
relationship difficulties
feeling different or isolated
identifying with neurodivergent conditions
depression
difficulty at work or in family life
low self-esteem
ageing
Room & Rates
Before an a first session I offer a free 15-minute call to discuss what brings you to therapy. This will help you decide if I might be the right therapist for you: trust and rapport between therapist and client is integral to a fruitful process.
We can work together over a short period (such six weeks) or longer-term. We will regularly reflect on your aims and progress before agreeing on a time to end.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and my fees are £60, to be paid before each session. A concessionary rate may be available.
I work from a comfortable space in central Bath and online, over a video call platform called Whereby.
